My name is Max de Winter and in 2019 I travelled across Russia, Asia, and Africa in order to understand more about different cultures and different countries. During this trip I met the most amazing people, among them Isaac Katto. I stayed with Isaac and his family for a few weeks and I was amazed by the beauty of lake Bunyonyi. This was paradise and I saw a great potential to build something beautiful. This is when I suggested to Isaac to build a new village from scratch and we brainstormed together of how such an endeavor could be brought to reality.
As the pandemic was ongoing, I had to make a decision what to do with my trip. id ecided to abort it and go back to Amsterdam, the town I was living before my travels. However, the idea of building this town did not leave me and in life there is always a choice to do something oor not. I thought it was time to do something, so I contacted Isaac again and we made the decision to build this town.
