As the startup scene is growing at a fast rate, the impact of these fast-growing companies on the charity community is also growing. Dutch startup ProctorExam based out of Amsterdam has partnered with ITdonations to make a donation of €2.917,50 to Bunyoni Zionsville Community (BZC).
BZC is a charity in Uganda, with the goal to create a village that acts as a safe place for people with unequal opportunities, where they can live and work, create their own family, and build up a self-sustaining community through development and growth of land.
Through the recent acquisition of ProctorExam by Turnitin, all IT equipment needed to be replaced. Hence ProctorExam partnered with ITdonations in order to collect and repurpose all the equipment that has been made redundant.
BZC used the donation in order to build one house for one of the members of the project, and to provide all first 8 houses with solar energy for electricity. BZC is very thankful for this donation, as it helps to grow the community tremendously. Therefore BZC made a sign with the logo of ProctorExam, in order to give this thoughtful act a permanent place in their hearts, and in order to remember those who have been helpful to realizing the project goals.
